Last week National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation was on, and it's still probably my favorite of the NL movies with Chevy Chase... except European Vacation. Best scene has to be him calling his boss every name in the book about his Christmas "bonus" (a 12 month subscription to the Jelly of the Month club). The "out of it" aunt saying Grace by saying the pledge of allegiance is also up there on the list of hilarious.

Last night was the first time I saw Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol, and It will probably be the last time too. It wasn't THAT bad, but none of the musical scenes were very good, and the fact they went "Present, Past, Future" in the Spirits order pisses me off. I've never read the actual book of a Christmas Carol, but in all the 560 shows based on it, it goes Past, Present, Future.

Lets keep discussing...

Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol grows on you with more viewings. I recommend giving it another chance next year and you'll like it slightly more. I used to be so-so towards it but it's become one of my favorites the last 5 years or so. Though my favorite version of a Christmas Carol is an early 50s version starring Alastair Sim as Scrooge.

Though I have to say I'm annoyed that Cartoon Network is now booting stuff yet again for their below par original programming. I'm not seeing several of the ones they usually show. No Pac-Man Christmas or the Troll Prince one.

That reminds me: Fuck Boomerang. It took me nearly 2 years to get Cartoon Network, and now they don't even have the shows they broadcasted from back... 5 years ago. Bastards.

I think I'm the only person I know that gets Boomerang. Nice little channel especially when they just decide to play nothing but Looney Tunes for an entire weekend.

Taped Babes In Toyland on WGN last night... (vomits). I've only watched 11 minutes and am already sick by the horrible acting and plot. More updates later.
