Title: RIP Shinya Hashimoto

QUOTE
Shinya Hashimoto passed away at approximately 9:30 a.m. Monday morning in Yokohama, Japan. No other details are available at this moment. He was 40. Hashimoto, a many time IWGP champion and Hall of Famer, had, along with Hulk Hogan, headlined more successful huge live pro wrestling events than any wrestlers in the history of the business. He had been out of action for several months after shoulder surgery. We have no details on the cause of death.

I wouldn't even begin to eulogize the guy, considering I barely knew about him, and wasn't very familiar with his work. He was an important part of recent Puro history, and for that he'll be missed.

And anyone dying at 40 is a fucking tragedy to begin with

I'll jump in on that... if you die at 40 because of things you can control (Drug overdose, steroid using, etc.), then it's not a tragedy. However, from what I've seen of Hashimoto, he didn't look like a roid monkey.

Hash certainly wasn't on roids. This is a horrible shame....

RIP Hash

Apparently it was a brain contusion or something. Totally out of nowhere, too. RIP big guy.
