Ring of Honor returned to the New Yorker Hotel in Manhattan tonight. Josh Neimand called in the following brief results:
*Dixie and Dunn & Marcos defeated Vordell Walker & Lacey's Angels members Deranged & Cheech.
*Matt Striker pinned Mike Kruel.
*The Carnage Crew defeated Jimmy Jacobs and BJ Whitmer to win the ROH Tag Team championship.
*Just prior to a Four-Way bout, ROH champion CM Punk came out and offered Roderick Strong a non-title match against him tonight. Mick Foley confronted Punk and forced him into making it a championship bout. Strong was removed from the Four-Way. Alex Shelley came out and added himself to the match...
*Jimmy Rave won a Four Corner bout, defeating Azrieal, Alex Shelley and James Gibson. Rave earned a Pure title shot next week in Woodbridge, CT.
*ROH Pure Wrestling champion Samoa Joe defeated Austin Aries.
*Nigel McGuinness defeated Colt Cabana under European Rounds Rules.
*Homicide pinned Jay Lethal after "a member of his crew" (The Grimm Reefer) interfered.
*ROH champion CM Punk pinned Roderick Strong. They teased Punk vs. Samoa Joe as the two had a staredown with Joe watching Punk from the balcony of the venue prior to the bout.
ROH returns to NYC on 10/1 with the American debut of Pro Wrestling NOAH's Kenta Kobashi.

Ugh..... to the Carnage Crew winning the Tag Titles. When are they going to stabalize the tag team division?

Yeah, Punk's still going.
Also, I fucking HATE the Carnage Crew. I can't believe that they put the titles on them at this point. ROH needs a total REFORMATTING of their tag division.

Yeah, I can't believe that they'd actually give the titles to a garbage team like them. The division has been a mess basically from day 1 and I don't understand why they can't get it going in a good direction.

I wouldn't say a reformatting, Gabe just needs to stop booking the Carnage Crew. Jacobs/Whitmer, Evans/Strong, Lacey's Angels, etc. are all good teams.

They need a reformatting IMO. Carnage Crew is awful, Whitmer/Jacobs was always just thrown together after Maff was done, Evans/Strong ARE good, and Lacey's Angel's are meh. They need to at least start establishing teams as where they should be on the card. They do too many tag matches that mean nothing.
