Big F'N Swigg - July 2, 2005 02:09 PM (GMT)
So I'm watching the streaming of last week's iMPACT, and it's not that bad. I must say that Tenay and West did a great job of putting over Shark Boy, Samoa Joe and Delirious.
The Joe and Delirious match was really good.

Scrooge McSuck - July 2, 2005 02:21 PM (GMT)
Styles vs. Shelley was a pretty good match, although they spent too much time bothering about Sean Waltman than the actual match.

Big F'N Swigg - July 2, 2005 02:46 PM (GMT)
I forgot to add that I really liked the "interview" with Killings and Konnan, as I actually got to see some character from Monty Brown

The match was way better than the two minute Shelly/Styles match I saw last fall on Impact.

So if the next PPV is "No Surrender", that means it'll have NO gimmicky "I Quit" or "Submission" matches. I have to check. This IS the promotion that put on an all-cage match PPV.

Oh, and in case you want the REAL dilly-yo on the July 8th episode (or if you'd rather READ than watch the show), then Fans, GO HERE!

SamoaRowe - July 12, 2005 07:22 PM (GMT)
Hey now, the man responsible for an all cage match ppv is gone now.

And last I knew, the main event to No Surrender was a dog collar match between Raven and Abyss, which will probably be pretty decent.

eStragand - July 12, 2005 08:16 PM (GMT)
Didn't know that the Dweam was gone. It sounded funny, but all-cage match PPV sounded like something I would've booked..... only with midgets.

In the past few months, Abyss has gotten to beat the tar out of Jeff Hardy AND Raven. That puts him on the ballot for enshrinement in my Pantheon of Bestest Rasslers Ever.

I'm glad Shark Boy's back. He wins maybe 2 matches a year, but he's my boy.

Real F'n Show - August 8, 2005 02:51 AM (GMT)
Bumping this, as I came across the latest iMPACT! on my local UPN. Watched Joe vs. Shelley, which was pretty good, as they spent like the first 3 mintues just rocking the mat like no other. Styles vs. Williams next week should be fun.

iMPACT has a limited availability on certain TV stations

You should love Joe, he's the best worker TNA has.

How the hell is fucking Apolo still employed by anyone? He's the worst wrestler in TNA, and yet still has a job. (vomits in cereal) Which reminds me, whatever happend to than Titan guy who everyone hated?

Real F'n Show - August 30, 2005 11:06 PM (GMT)
Good question, although I doubt anyone misses him. Last I saw he was showing up in random Monty Brown matches.

Trytan's contract ran up, and they won't put him on air until he resigns.

As for Apolo, I'm at a loss. He's got a decent look, but he's miserable in ring

Scrooge McSuck - September 3, 2005 12:46 AM (GMT)
Tonight's Impact Schedule (well, for me at least):
1. Konnan & Lance Hoyt v. Sean Waltman & Alex Shelley
2. Shark Boy v. Christopher Daniels
3. Chris Sabin & Shocker v. Sonjay Dutt & Ron Killings
4. Sonny Siaki vs. Monty Brown
5. Chase Stevens vs. James Storm

Hmm... well, the first half should be decent. :P

dynamite kido - September 3, 2005 05:40 AM (GMT)
Have you watched any of the TNA stuff that you've been taping for me Scrooge? How's it been? Anything stand out as really good?

Scrooge McSuck - September 3, 2005 03:57 PM (GMT)
Let me think...

Week 1:
- Joe squashing Clark kicked ass. I'm actually getting hooked on the fat piece of crap. (I say that figuritively)

- Sabin/Shocker v. Batts/Diamond was pretty standard formula, but the face side keeps the pace going nicely.

- Rhino/Siaki was a squash. Other than Apolo, how the hell did Siaki stay employed.

- BG James/Reily v. Killings/Dutt wasn't too good, but not bad either.

- Naturals v. Team Canada didn't do anything for me. I've always hated Team Canada (mainly because they either suck or are overrated), and the Naturals just aren't good enough to carry them.

Week #2:
- Shark Boy/Abyss v. Shelley/Waltman was also pretty standard, but Abyss taking everyone out ruled. :)

- Diamond/Young v. Batts/Clark sucked. How is Young still employed? I will admit though, he does a pretty good spinebuster, if nothing else.

- Skipper v. Apolo wasn't as bad as I first thought, but the match was all Skipper with Apolo chiming in with his usual crap.

- Konnan/Hoyt v. Kip James/Williams I didn't pay attention to, so no comment, but damn is Hoyt over. :(

- Raven v. Bobby Roode was "perfectly acceptable", but forgetable.

Week #3:
- Konnan/Hoyt v. Waltman/Shelley was short and inoffensive, but it seemed like the heels got very little offense in before the victory.

- Shark Boy v. Daniels was pretty good, but I could've done without the lame "heel has face done, but someone distracts him before he can do his finisher" spot.

- Sabin/Shocker v. Dutt/Killings was pretty kick ass, and probably the best match of the tournament.

- Siaki v. Brown sucked of course, but at least Gunn/Outlaw/Kip and Brown kicked his ass after the match.

- Storm v. Douglas I also didn't pay attention to, but it couldn't have been too bad since I didn't fall asleep. :P

dynamite kido - September 3, 2005 04:20 PM (GMT)
Nice mini review...........thanks Scrooge.

Scrooge McSuck - September 9, 2005 03:34 AM (GMT)
Tonights lineup for Impact...
- Candio Cup Finals: Chris Sabin & Shocker vs. Alex Shelley & Sean Waltman
- Shark Boy vs. Samoa Joe
- Chris Harris vs. Eric Young
- Sonjay Dutt vs. Elix Skipper
- Raven & Sabu vs. Rhino & Abyss

Damn... cut out what will probably be a shitty match in Harris/Young and you got a damn good episode for workrate and main event power (by TNA Standards).

TehDoct0r - September 9, 2005 04:41 AM (GMT)
Shark Boy vs Samoa Joe equals money.
